C++ Programmer
This is a contract position of approximately 6 months.
The goal of this project is to rewrite the proprietary C++ program used to import carrier commission records in multiple text formats to process commissions transactions according to PPI policy.
The scope of work involves:
Replacing the older 3rd party SQL database library calls with current C++ SQL Server calls.
Upgrading obsolete objects, classes and libraries.
Replacing current User Interface component with one that uses standard data grid controls available in Visual Studio 2022.
Reuse the .CPP/.h files containing carrier-specific business rule from the original application, where possible.
Creating internal documentation throughout the code as well as providing any additional documentation resources e.g. workflow diagrams and user manuals.
Ensuring the final product is successfully migrated to, maintainable in, and compliant with, the Visual Studio 2022 version of C++.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Experience with current and older versions of Microsoft Visual Studio. C++
Experience with SQL Server C++ database connectivity libraries
Familiarity with Microsoft’s MFC / Windows Form controls
Experience migrating C++ applications from previous versions of C++ for Visual Studio.NET
Experience designing graphical user interfaces involving C++’s Data Grid objects
Experiencing designing application that can run in a RemoteApp environment
